Youth Arts Program (YAP) provides a quality arts education for youth ages 4-18 in Grant County, OR by providing arts education and performance opportunities, increasing access to professional artist-mentors, and providing venues for displaying students’ artistic work. This will benefit local youth as they grow and learn through the program activities and artists who will achieve greater recognition. It will also benefit the community at large by increasing the visibility, accessibility, and quality of the arts, which in turn will elevate and lend cohesiveness and pride to the community. While activities will be planned to benefit primarily youth, adults may be invited to participate in some activities.

YAP, whose parent organization is the Juniper Arts Council, currently administers two programs:

1.  Our core after-school program includes three choirs for people of all ages, two guitar classes for ages 4-12, and a string ensemble for experienced string players.

2.  Our Summer at the YAP provides art, music, and drama education in a two-week day camp.
